We plan programs for our monthly meetings to enhance the gardening knowledge of our members.  This is the list of 2021-22 programs.

Bees, butterflies, moths, and bats working for us - backyard actions we can take to protect them, People and Pollinators Action Network 

October 20
An explanation of horticultural therapy and its empowering effect on youth facing challenges, Loveland Youth Gardeners

November 17
An overview of the Colorado Federation of Garden Clubs with emphasis on the opportunities available through in-person and online CFGC environmental, gardening, landscape design and flower show schools, Colorado Federation of Garden Clubs

December 15
Holiday potluck and gift exchange (no formal meeting):  Bring a dish to share and a wrapped garden-related gift of $10 or less to exchange.

January 19
Water and our way of life: stormwater infrastructure, floodplain management and stormwater quality, Stormwater Division, Public Works Administration, City of Loveland

February 16
Backyard birds – creating a haven in your garden, interpreting behaviors and the impacts of climate change, Audubon Rockies

March 16
Simple, Nutrient Dense Vegetables to Grow This Season, Ballard Nutrition

April 20
Basic Ikebana floral design, demonstration and “do it yourself” experience, A Loveland Garden Club Member with considerable training, experience and knowledge on this subject.If you would like to try Ikebana floral design, please bring a low vase and flower frog. If you have red twig dogwood branches in your yard and wouldn’t mind bringing some to share, please do so. The LGC will buy the focal flowers. A donation of $3 per participant (cash or check) that day would be appreciated!

Garden walk-about at members’ homes. Always a favorite!
